Halcyon

     One of the infinite Catalyst realms, Halcyon is the setting for one of Mankind’s great intergalactic adventures, far in the future from the early 21st century.

Overview

     There came a point when the Solar Federation?, finally, had no one to fight. No invading races aiming to enslave humanity. No civil wars to sort out, no uprisings to quell. There was time to turn to peaceful pursuits, and none more important than exploring the technology of the Archons?, that culture of a bygone age which disappeared thousands of years ago, leaving just a few tantalizing hints of their immense power.

     Among those hints, the gate system? was the most impressive. A galaxy-spanning array of gates theoretically allowing hyperspace travel that would join distant star systems in an instant. And the scientists found a way to activate the gates. First to travel through was the Halcyon fleet?, crewed by the brightest minds and the most outstanding Federation officers. It was the opportunity of a lifetime… the opportunity of a millennium perhaps!

     Such power isn’t something you mess with lightly, though, as the Halcyon fleet soon discovered.
