Hoplite









Garden of Athena is a far future realm of Suzerain, part of the Catalyst family of realms.

     The Hoplite was at the very center of the Athenian armies and their military success.

     A close combat infantry first and foremost, over time the hoplite began filling virtually all types of military roles, especially in the professional armies of the major poleis, from scout, over marine to archer and even cavalry.

     Though the individual hoplite could be armed differently, the standard equipment was:
