     There is, according to many people (and the basic principles of the Suzerain universe) a form of energy that binds all things in the world on a spiritual level, a type of energy that is called Chi in Chinese culture. In Star Wars, the Jedi are masters of this energy, which they call The Force. It’s the same thing, though.

     In Suzerain, this energy was discovered by scientists in the early 21st century and named The Pulse Of All Things… Pulse for short. They go about harnessing this energy, just as people started doing with electricity in the 18th century. Through a series of clandestine global machinations, the end result of this leap in understanding was the Pulse War, one of the pivotal times in the Suzerain chronology which marks the end of Timeline and the start of the Elements realms.
